About Me

Ever since childhood, I have been drawn to writing. When I graduated from college with a degree in journalism, however, I had no idea what to do. Newspapers were dying and the Internet wasn’t what is is now.

I wanted to write about topics that fed, rather than drained my soul. I wanted to use my writing to make a difference.

Eventually, writing found its way back into my life when I started my blog, Long Haul Trekkers. What began as a passion project of stories from the road during a two-year bicycle journey with my dog and partner evolved into a business.

Over the years, I began to diversify my portfolio to include content marketing, freelance writing, and photography.

I work with brands who value the outdoors, sustainable business, and dogs. Now that I have figured out a way to use my words, I create dynamite content to spark inspiration, tell the stories, and build trust with consumers for brands I love.

I specialize in active lifestyle, destination marketing, adventures with dogs, pet product marketing, and vegan camp recipe development. My work has appeared in National Geographic TravelerAdventure Cyclist Magazine, AFAR, The Bark, Bicycle Times, Fodor’s, and Adventure Journal.  My clients have included Travel Oregon, Oregon Wine Country, Visit Andorra, MSR, Klean Kanteen, Kurgo, Ruffwear, Zuke’s Treats, REI, and Expedia. My award-winning photography has appeared in numerous publications, including the cover of the April 2018 issue of Adventure Cyclist Magazine.

I am the writer, photographer, and owner of the blog Long Haul Trekkers, a source for dog parents seeking information about adventure travel with their dogs.

Let’s work together so I can use my words to celebrate your products and services and share your story.
